Case Study

De Ja Vu new build, Charmouth

A high-efficiency home with sea views

Our client approached us to obtain planning permission for a new dwelling at the bottom of their plot. They had a large garden with a detached garage that was underused with a separate access from the main driveway.

We successfully obtained planning permission for a detached two-bedroom bungalow replacing the original garage with its own private garden and parking, making the most of the sea views.

We project-managed this site for our client, utilising a raft foundation design with a light weight timber frame forming the external structure of the building. Solar panels, air source heat pump powering the underfloor heating system and finished off with an EV charging point achieved an EPC rating of A.

We offered a joint venture service on this project, with the current land owner to maximise the value of the site and give control to the current land owner for the overall design.
